|Sakura blossoms in Shanghai|
Half of March is already over and it feels like the first three months of 2011 just whizzed by so fast. I feel upbeat for the coming months as I work towards my exciting new project. Its something close to who I am and where I want to go.
I believe thinking about goals and resolutions shouldn’t just happen in the beginning of each year but should be a yearlong habit. Sometimes these resolutions are scary because it means changing things you are already used to. It means getting your hands dirty or giving something up in return. It means going out of your comfort zone and risking falling flat on your face after. But hey, isn’t that what makes life interesting? The excitement of knowing how everything can still change.
The Roman philosopher Seneca the Younger said it best:”Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” A line coincidentally also used in the Semisonic 1990s classic song, Closing Time.
Cheers to new beginnings, March may just be the new January.
