When it gets too hot indoors, what’s a girl gotta do but head out? Summer is a great time to try new things and travel.
For the discriminating foodie, thankfully, Manila has a lot of new markets to keep crowds happy. Below are just some of the popular night markets that I’ll be checking out this weekend:
Banchetto, an Italian word meaning “a feast,” is a weekend food fiesta held in Ortigas Center area. The market starts every Friday at 12 midnight lasting until 11 am the next day.
Mercato Centrale, every Saturdays and Sundays from 7 am to 2 pm, the market features up and coming food vendors from specialty burgers, to Korean style fried chicken to organic baby food. The tents are located at 34th street and 8th avenue, across MC Home Depot at the Fort.
Midnight Mercato, the late night version of Mercato Centrale running from Friday to Saturday, 10 pm to 3 am.
